Custodian III at CCA

About the role

This full-time position is located in the Facility Operations department. This position oversees staff and assigns work determining best practices, work procedures and processes that will accomplish all housekeeping tasks in a timely and thorough manner. Primary duties and responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide oversight of custodial team members
• Conduct annual and mid-year performance evaluations
• Manage and approve employee leave requests
• Resolve departmental conflicts and recommend corrective actions in accordance with state policies and procedures
• Schedule and lead weekly safety meetings and maintain attendance logs
• Custodial Operations: Perform custodial work alongside staff as needed; Vacuum and extract carpets; sweep, mop, and scrub floors; strip and wax tile; Clean desks, windows, whiteboards, and other surfaces; Collect and remove trash and recycling from classrooms, offices, and public areas; Set up and take down tables, chairs, tents, and other equipment for events, meetings, and campus functions
• Supply Management: Monitor custodial supply levels and maintain adequate stock; Coordinate routine ordering of approved custodial supplies via online ordering system; Track overall supply usage and identify irregular patterns; Collaborate with the Director of Events and Operations regarding supply needs; Receive and organize deliveries to ensure materials are available for all shifts
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure proper training and handling of custodial supplies; Verify staff compliance with safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Experience Only: Two (2) years of custodial experience as the primary function of your job. Knowledge and ability to use a personal computer is required. Conditions of Employment

• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Colorado driver's license to independently drive company vehicles and equipment around the campus, pick up parts, etc.
• Must submit to and successfully complete a pre-employment background check to include a motor vehicle report (MVR) as a condition of hire.
