Custodian I (First Shift) - Custodial Services

About the role

• Under direct supervision, performs custodial duties necessary for the general maintenance of buildings which involve tasks that require carrying, lifting, bending;
• empties trash and recycling;
• changes light bulbs in assigned areas using stepladder;
• shovels snow and spreads ice melt to maintain building entrances;
• reports needed repairs by completing repair slips;
• fills out order forms for requesting cleaning materials, supplies, etc.;
• locks and unlocks doors;
• operates machines to facilitate cleaning activities;
• performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Prior cleaning experience preferred.
