These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Custodian – Housing for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Among the key duties of this position are the following: Performs a wide variety of routine custodial duties required to maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and habitable condition; also performs basic maintenance and repair duties on university facilities and equipment. Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, must be able to work with vibrating equipment (i.e. vacuums, floor machines), and must be able to work with various cleaning chemicals.
