Custodian | Full-Time

About the role

MCI is seeking Custodian team members to ensure a clean and safe environment for employees and clients. The primary responsibilities include cleaning the contact center floor, restrooms, and offices, as well as performing basic building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize high traffic areas and common areas
• Empty wastebaskets and remove trash from building daily
• Dust furniture and surfaces weekly
• Polish stainless-steel surfaces and clean entrance glass daily
• Dust, mop, and vacuum floors daily
• Wet mop hallway/public area floors weekly
• Remove and replace bulbs as needed
• Pick up trash and sweep exterior entrances
• Clean restrooms and wet mop restroom floors
• Wet clean and disinfect surfaces and fixtures daily
• Refill restroom soap, tissue, towels
• Provide restorative services when emergencies arise
• Move, assemble and maintain office furniture
• Assist IT Desktop Support with movement of computers for new turn-ups
• Hang pictures, posters and other wall hangings as required
• Pro-actively seek opportunities to improve cleanliness, appearance and operation

Qualifications

• Ability to take direction and self-motivate
• Willingness to learn and acquire new skills
• Enjoy talking to people and helping them resolve frustrations
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Exhibit professional communication & customer service skills
• Exhibit tact, good judgment, honesty, and a high sense of responsibility
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with basic PC skills
• Able to read, speak and understand English to use chemicals and communicate with employees
• Janitorial and/or maintenance experience is preferred but not required
