Custodian - Full-Time

About the Role

This Custodian position involves maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across campus facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces through tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces
• Replenish supplies and maintain entryways
• Respond to spills and emergencies
• Assist with event setups
• Operate custodial equipment safely
• Follow safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines
• Report maintenance issues
• Keep custodial areas organized
• Support additional facility operations as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ year custodial or related experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and manage time
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment
• Strong attention to safety and proper equipment use

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and operate equipment
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Manual dexterity and safety awareness essential
