Custodial Working Supervisor (Baton Rouge)

Essential Functions

• To ensure that at least one member of the management team is on duty during work time.
• To orient and train new or transferred custodial workers.
• To supervise, discipline and recommend discharge custodial workers.
• To schedule custodial employees with focus on controlling payroll costs and adequate coverage of complicit operation for proper customer service and quality.
• To supervise and motivate custodial employees to reach production guidelines and to be capable of producing as well.
• To conduct periodic inspections of subordinates’ work performance.
• To prepare personnel and payroll records in a timely manner.
• To complete accurately other paperwork required in the day-to-day operation of the contract.
• To inventory and request supplies ensuring that reorders are placed before stock is depleted.
• To inspect contract equipment on a regular schedule and maintain an equipment inspection log.
• To act as a positive role model for employees and customers in all aspects of professional performance.
• To address all customer complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
• To notify Project Manager of all customer complaints and other issues that may arise at the worksite.
• To observe personnel policies and safety procedures.
• To ensure compliance by subordinates.
• To ensure the daily safety meeting is conducted and documented.
• To hold an employees' meeting monthly and document meeting discussions. Meetings must include safety.
• To ensure hourly floor checks are conducted and documented.
• To attend, as scheduled, is required.
• To possess and maintain a valid driver's license and to be insurable by the Company's automotive insurance carrier. Must obey all traffic/safety laws.
• To perform all duties as required per contract/Goodwill management.
• To perform additional duties as assigned.

• Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
• Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the public.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with, and among, contract personnel.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including nights and weekends, and occasionally, long, or extended hours.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 10 #'s frequently and 50 #'s occasionally.
• Must be able to engage in prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending, stooping, and stretching and climbing stairs.
• Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in the custodial field with two years of supervisory experience required.
• Must wear company issued uniforms.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
