The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown offers 168 beds for nursing home care. Two levels of care are offered: standard care for veterans in need of any intermediate level of care, and memory care for veterans with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia.

Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, cleans & maintains restrooms, living facilities &/or dining areas, offices (e.g., sweeps, mops, strips, buffs & waxes floors; vacuums carpets; cleans glass & mirrors; washes windows & walls; scrubs sinks, countertops, toilets; cleans & empties receptacles; dusts varying surfaces; replenishes soap, toilet paper, paper towels)
- Responsible for exercising principles of infection control & implements infection control policies & procedures (e.g., wipes up spills & fluids on floor; washes & cleans resident beds & other furniture; proper use of personal protective equipment)
- Checks on supplies; stocks supply closets
- Reports need for repair of equipment; reports evidence of fire, illegal entry & theft of property
- Cleans offices (e.g., vacuums carpet, cleans & dusts furniture, fixtures & equipment; cleans & empties trash receptacles)
- Performs any additional job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary. Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
