Location: Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute, Davidson County

Two full-time, on-site positions available. A criminal background check is required.

About the Role

Under immediate supervision, performs custodial work of routine difficulty and related tasks. This is the entry-level position in the Custodial Worker series. Employees may be assigned to any shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate custodial tools and equipment, including floor washing machines, buffers, and vacuums.
• Move furniture.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors by hand or machine.
• Clean restrooms by sanitizing showers, toilets, sinks, washing floors and walls, cleaning mirrors, and emptying trash.
• Clean offices, hospital facilities, and other areas by dusting furniture, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, washing walls and windows, emptying trash, and straightening work areas.
• Police grounds to pick up trash and check for maintenance needs.
• Keep simple records and report facility deficiencies or material needs.
• Perform light maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

• No formal education or experience required.
• Must meet State of Tennessee driver standards:
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • No DUI, reckless driving, license suspension for moving violations, or more than 4 moving violations in the past five years.

Pay

Monthly: $2,135.00 – $3,823.00
Annual: $25,620.00 – $45,876.00
Current approved hiring rate: $2,823.00 monthly / $33,876.00 yearly
