Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of curriculum developers responsible for designing, developing, and revising instructional content, including facilitator guides, activities, assessments, slide decks, and eLearning courses.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Review and provide feedback on instructional materials and courses, including feedback on grammar, formatting, and accuracy.
  • Analyze program data and collaborate with other groups to identify and prioritize training needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Stay current on best practices in curriculum development and educational technology and utilize instructional methods which maximize learning and engagement.
  • Review learning assessments to ensure they effectively measure learning outcomes.
  • Oversight curriculum revision to improve Kirkpatrick's level 1 through 4 results.
  • Learn and adapt to new processes, procedures, and software as indicated by business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to three years of full-time professional closely related program or counseling work and one year of training, or related work with a state institutional program, children's services program or private agency that includes training duties.
  • Substitution Of Education For Experience: Additional graduate coursework in one of the above areas may be substituted for the required non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
  • OR Substitution Of Experience For Education: Qualifying full-time professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills required, experience in plain language writing a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience designing curriculum for adult learners.
  • 3-5 years of experience implementing a wide range of training methodologies.
  • Experience using performance data to identify skills and knowledge gaps.
  • Experience designing learning objectives and assessments.
  • Experience using Articulate to create computer-based learning deliverables.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing personnel.

  • Ability to respectfully provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills are necessary, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage workload to meet specific timeframes and deadlines.
