Metal Fabrication Technician at MGM Products Inc.

Responsibilities

• Operate various fabrication machines (Press Brakes, Lasers)
• Carry out daily tasks assigned by the supervisor
• Setup and operate machinery from beginner to intermediate setups
• Closely work with supervisor and production planning on project scope
• Flexible and adaptable to assignment changes, willing to help when needed
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the machine and conduct quality control checks
• Custom configure and make products to order
• Set up and operate equipment to bend parts of sheet metal according to drawings or product specifications
• Read drawing, work orders or production schedules to determine specifications
• Perform periodic checks on output; measure completed parts to verify conformance to specifications
• Use measuring instruments at 100% accuracy
• Maintain high level of productivity and produce quality parts
• Identify equipment, production and/or parts issues; troubleshoot with management and appropriate personnel
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to maintain equipment performance and prevent machine downtime

Qualifications

• Prior CNC machine operating experience required
• Mechanical and Technical Capacity
• Basic Math Aptitude
• Attention to Detail
• Problem Solving/Analysis
• Teamwork Capacity
• Communication Proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (e.g., blueprints, drawings, etc.)
• Ability to work independently
