About the Role

The Cultivation Technician performs labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing cannabis under the supervision of the Cultivation General Manager. Attention to detail is critical.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in indoor harvest grow including mother plant maintenance, cloning, transplanting, nutrients and pH management, water management, airflow, temperature and humidity control, pest and disease control, and IPM program implementation.
• Manage plant scheduling and organization to project plant needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for maximum yield.
• Catalogue and maintain organization of plants, tags, and pruning biomass.
• Follow cultivation department policies and procedures; wash and sanitize all equipment.
• Scout equipment to ensure tools are free of pests, viruses, or disease.
• Adapt techniques to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis to maintain quality and pace.
• Break down flowers from stems and stalks, separating unusable waste from usable product and tracking waste per batch.
• Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency to meet production standards and increase productivity.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cultivation facility.
• Exhibit competency in organizational, tracking, and communication skills.
• Follow instructions and constructive feedback to maintain quality and production goals.
• Adhere to personal hygiene and health guidelines set by the company and state.
• Clean processing areas and equipment at the end of every shift.
• Identify problems with strains/products and communicate with supervisors as needed.
• Understand and implement cannabis laws, rules, and regulations; pursue further industry knowledge.
• Work collaboratively, adapt to changes, and help create a proactive, positive environment.
• Guide, challenge, and motivate team members to foster a cohesive unit.
• Manage time efficiently to meet goals while producing quality product.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years or older and pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous agricultural, warehouse, manufacturing, or laborer experience preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts with varied hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Adhere to company mission and maintain high ethical standards and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work in various sectors of the department as needed (e.g., assisting grow staff, cleaning, moving supplies, or helping packaging).
• Basic understanding of cannabis laws, rules, and regulations; willingness to expand knowledge.
• Ability to work well with others, adapt to policy/procedure changes, and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Use independent judgment regarding product processing while keeping quality and goals in mind.
• Self-motivation, innovation, and ability to work well with all team members.
• Fundamental knowledge of cultivation and ability to learn related areas.
• Skill in analyzing potential problems with plants or products.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Physical Requirements

• Normal, corrective vision range, including color vision and ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
• Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend, and reach for the duration of shift.
• Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
• Normal hearing range.
