As a Cultivation Technician I, you’ll support the cultivation department by performing manual labor that ensures our plants are hand-grown in carefully controlled environments, minimizing unwanted chemicals and pests to deliver trusted relief to patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical, repetitive agricultural work following directions and instructions from supervisors
- Repetitive climbing on ladders or working on elevated platforms
- Netting and trellising flower plants
- Loading plants and placing emitters
- Tucking and spreading plants as directed
- Pruning and defoliating plants
- Proper use of PPE in accordance with company guidelines
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material, leaving grow rooms clean after maintenance
- Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment
- Perform various manual cross-department job duties as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 21 years of age (or 18 in CT, PA, and WV)
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
- Cultivation experience preferred

Physical Requirements
- Handle organic matter daily
- Wear PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection) in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions (up to 95 degrees or greater)
- Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Work seated or standing for extended periods at workstations
- Maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Use hands and fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, or pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
- Entire shift may be spent standing; requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movements
- Visual acuity (with or without aids) for reading, computer work, and inspecting small parts/details
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more in day, night, or dark conditions
- Verbal communication at conversation levels in moderate noise environments
