Schedule

Full Time, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime.

About the Role

MTC operates the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV where staff provide quality services to local youth. We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Replenish napkin dispensers, plate racks, silverware racks, salt and pepper shakers and condiments.
• Make coffee, tea and other beverages and set up cafeteria lines and serve meals on the line.
• Assist in the storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients from storage area to cooking area.
• Clean food service area, tables and kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Prepare and keep serving counter stocked with vegetables, salads, meat, bread, and desserts as instructed or routinely set forth in an appetizing manner.
• Assist with clean-up and sanitation duties by washing dishes/utensils, store in orderly fashion.
• Mop, wax and buff cafeteria floors.
• Perform cooking duties as needed.
• Assist with food preparation and service area daily which includes keeping refrigerators, floors, and food carts clean.
• Promote and support positive customer service through the facility.

Requirements

• One (1) year of related experience.
• Must possess a valid ServSafe (Food Handler) permit.
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
