About the role

We Are Hiring: Culinary Specialist - Full Time Days - Oconomowoc
Schedule Details: 5:30-14:00 during the week and 8:30-17:00 every other weekend and 3 major holidays

What You Will Do

• Maintains high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
• Prepares and cooks patient food by following detailed parameters of prescribed therapeutic diets.
• Prepares and cooks food products in retail outlets, catered events, and Meals on Wheels/Caring Place programs (if applicable) according to provided recipes and Food Service Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains food temperature logs for all hot and cold food items in holding in accordance with HACCP, The Joint Commission, County, State and ServSafe guidelines.
• Performs cash register operations as assigned.
• Demonstrates basic culinary fundamentals including, but not limited to: emulsified vinaigrette, béchamel sauce, skin and sear salmon fillets, break down different primal cuts of meat. Able to demonstrate proper knife skills and plated meal presentations.

You Will Need

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in culinary arts or food services required
• ServSafe Certified at time of hire or within 180 days of hire.
