Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, and direct the activities of the culinary service department and supervise dining services staff
• Oversee food service standards, policies, procedures, equipment, systems, city and state regulations, and work areas
• Ensure the highest quality of food service for residents
• Coordinate closely with nursing staff to meet residents’ needs
• Order supplies and maintain inventory control
• Verify orders received and ensure needed goods are on hand
• Ensure budgetary guidelines are achieved
• Cook daily in the kitchen

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years’ experience as an Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Culinary Director in restaurants, hotels, SNF, or senior living
• Associate degree or better in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or Hospitality Management, or Certified Executive Chef (CEC, ACF)
• Serve Safe Certification or Certified Dining Manager (CDM)
