About the role
The Culinary Lead is responsible for overseeing the culinary team at Sur La Table, ensuring high-quality food preparation and customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for food.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the culinary team to ensure all food items are prepared to the highest standards.
- Train and mentor new employees in food safety and cooking techniques.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local suppliers to ensure consistent quality of ingredients.
- Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a food service or restaurant management role.
- Proven ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Saturday, rotating shifts including weekends and evenings.
