About the role
The Culinary Lead is responsible for overseeing the culinary department, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and managing staff to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the culinary department, including menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen sanitation.
- Train and mentor culinary staff in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing professional development for existing staff.
- Collaborate with store management to ensure that the culinary department aligns with overall store goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Proven ability to manage a team and lead by example.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Saturday, with some flexibility to accommodate store needs.
