Culinary/Dietary Aide - Server

Responsibilities

• Create a restaurant-style dining experience through serving meals, customer service, and collaboration.
• Follow written and oral instructions, follow diet orders/tray cards and work assignments.
• Ensure that meal orders are delivered accurately, and any special request or dietary restrictions are noted and followed.
• Perform defined work routines.
• Aid in cleaning routines after meals have ended and setting up for next meal.
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies as directed by Culinary Director.
• Attend scheduled department meetings.
• Attend educational programs.
• Follow defined safety codes while performing duties.
• Follow Infection Control procedures.
• Understand community’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
• Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and community’s rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service or related field preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow diet orders/tray cards and work assignments.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to perform defined work routines and assist in cleaning.
• Ability to attend department meetings and educational programs.
• Knowledge of community’s fire and disaster plans and Infection Control procedures.
