Culinary Assistant / Server - Part Time - Evening - Eventide Lincoln

Eventide in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to join our team. This position includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

About the Role

The Culinary Assistant is responsible for assisting in food preparation, upholding cleaning and sanitary standards, and managing kitchen inventory and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assists with serving meals following diet orders and prepares food to order in dining room as requested by Senior/client.
• Operates dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned, sanitized, dried, and put away in a timely manner.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation related to food production, quality, and food safety.
• Ensures food and products are properly acquired, stored, dated, and rotated.
• Follows recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures, using food service equipment.
• Handles trash and sweeps and mops galley kitchen floor.
• Procures food from storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators.
• Provides outstanding customer service during guest interactions.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language, including medical terminology related to the job.
• Must be able to safely perform the duties of the job, including unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 32+ pounds, demonstrating strength and agility.
• Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction).
• At least age 16.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience in sanitation work in health care or food preparation facility preferred.
• Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required for Eventide campuses in Lancaster County.
• Must meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.

Pay

Competitive starting pay range of $15–$16.80 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions.
