About the role

The Sanctuary at Brooklyn Center Senior Living is an affordable, friendly senior living community located near the crossroads of I-694, I-94 and Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center. Just down the street from CVS and CUB Foods, The Sanctuary community hosts 158 Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments. Our residents enjoy worry-free living in a warm and friendly community with services to meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures
• Follows proper procedures for dining room set-up
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately; refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate

Requirements

Less than 1 year of experience

Qualifications

High School Diploma; 1 year of experience preferred

Schedule

Week 1: Monday 6:30am - 1:30pm, Thursday 10:30am - 2pm & Friday 6:30am - 1:30pm; Week 2: Monday 6:30am - 1:30pm, Tuesday 6:30am - 1:30pm, Saturday 6:30am - 1:30pm & Sunday 6:30am - 1:30pm
