About the role
This position supports soft skills development and specific lab-driven occupational experiences in up to four entry-level occupational areas. It includes coursework support for the Career and Occupational Standards Commencement Credential (CDOS).
Responsibilities
- Support soft skills development and specific lab-driven occupational experiences in up to four entry-level occupational areas.
- Provide coursework support for the Career and Occupational Standards Commencement Credential (CDOS).
- Teach 10 months per year with a strong potential for Extended School Year for interested applicants.
- Teaching schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 am - 2:45 pm, Wednesday 8:00 am - 3:45 pm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required, master’s preferred.
- Could be part of the Office of Professionals Certification.
- Experience working with students in a job training program.
- Experience with at-risk youth and/or youth with special education needs preferred.
Qualifications
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification, Family and Consumer Sciences, Agriculture and Business and Marketing certified individuals will be considered.
- Individuals who are seeking certification through one of the NYSED CTE pathways may be considered.
- Experienced Crafts People interested in Teaching and using their experience to gain certification are encouraged to apply.
Skills
- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education (CTE) standards and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively with at-risk youth and/or youth with special education needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits
- Compensation range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
Pay
- $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
Schedule
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 8:00 am - 2:45 pm.
- Wednesdays 8:00 am - 3:45 pm.
Office of Professionals Certification
- The position could be part of the Office of Professionals Certification.
