About the role
RAYUS Radiology is opening an outpatient imaging center in Clarksville, TN. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a Computed Tomography (CT) & X-Ray Technologist, you will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies, providing excellent customer service with a patient-centered approach.
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Screen patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for scanning imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately for imaging.
- Perform routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures with minimal supervision or repeats, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
- Adjust scan parameters as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques where appropriate.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, to promote safety for patients and team members.
- Assist with maintaining and updating the imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist with training new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
- Complete other assigned tasks and projects.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist certification.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Sufficient training and experience to competently perform scanning procedures independently.
