CT/X-Ray Technician
About the role
Form Energy is revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable. As a CT Technician based in Weirton, WV, you will perform a vital role as a hands-on quality team member, operating industrial 3D CT scanning equipment to inspect materials and components using non-destructive testing methods.
Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and industrial 3D CT scanners by loading and unloading samples
- Set up and adjust X-ray system parameters, including tube settings and detector configurations, to obtain clear and accurate scan results
- Prepare and secure test samples using custom fixtures to ensure proper positioning during scanning
- Analyze images to identify defects and inspect sample features against engineering CAD models
- Compile testing reports and present findings to cross-functional teams
- Perform maintenance, system calibrations, and radiation safety checks
- Execute additional metrology and testing methods to support manufacturing control plans, as necessary
- Perform 5S activities to ensure the metrology lab and associated metrology equipment is clean, organized, and prepared to provide precise and accurate results
- Follow all Form Safe best practices including completion of Job Hazard Analyses, as necessary
- Document test results, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and radiation safety checks
Requirements
- 3+ years experience working with CT equipment
- Technical background in X-Ray inspection
- Ability to work in both a fast-paced manufacturing environment and a highly specialized lab setting
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and provide continuous improvement feedback to engineers and managers

This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing.
