About the Role
This job requires the candidate to perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department. Maintains the work area by reporting maintenance issues for equipment, monitoring supplies, and addressing deficiencies. Participates in clinical activities and adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform CAT scan procedures following established protocols.
- Operate the CT scanner during interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
- Report maintenance issues for equipment and monitor supplies.
- Participate in clinical activities and adhere to infection prevention policies.
Requirements
- Experience in General, Trauma, and ED settings.
- Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not required.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
- Enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography program.
Qualifications
- Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
- Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).
- ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred; if not at the time of hire, must obtain within 12 months of employment.
