About the role
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. CT Technologists are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide Patient-Centered Care: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for diverse patient populations served in the department.
- Apply Developmental Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span and possess the ability to assess patient data reflective of age-specific needs.
- Patient Education: Assess the patient's and family's ability to learn and incorporate teaching throughout the entire CT procedure process.
- Deliver Compassionate Care: Deliver compassionate, holistic care while consistently supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
- 1–3 years of minimum CT experience is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.
- ARRT registered with CT Certification (or acquired within 6 months of hire).
