CT Technologist - Per diem, Variable Shift

Responsibilities

• Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.
• Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Affords assessments, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Utilizes PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information.
• Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education and Work Experience: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
  • Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
  • Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
  • Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Qualifications

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $48.55 to $72.77. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
