CT/MRI Technologist - Per Diem - Variable Shifts

About the role

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns, and extraneous radiation to patients
• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly
• Assesses patient pain interfering with imaging procedure
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
• Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures
• Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed standards
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license
• ARRT registry

Qualifications

• 3 years full-time or equivalent CT experience (preferred)
• ARRT Registry with CT and injection credentials (preferred)

Pay

$34 - $51 per hour
