CT Technologist II - VacaValley (Per Diem, Variable)

About the Role

At NorthBay Health, the CT Technologist II performs general radiographic studies according to established Q.A. criteria. Responsibilities include scanning and organizing images, completing required paperwork and charges, ensuring patient safety and well-being during examinations, and assisting and instructing patients. The role also involves performing bedside radiography, assisting with clerical duties, cleaning and inspecting equipment, and reporting equipment malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiographic studies following established Q.A. criteria.
• Scan and organize images, complete required paperwork and charges.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being during examinations.
• Assist and instruct patients during examinations.
• Perform bedside radiography.
• Assist with clerical duties.
• Clean and inspect equipment prior to use.
• Report equipment malfunctions.
• Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in all age groups.
• Practice the principles of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology course.
• Current California CRT with Fluoroscopy Permit and ARRT in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT), or California CRT with Fluoroscopy Permit with 15 years of CT experience.
• Possession of a Venipuncture Permit or documented venipuncture training prior to January 1, 2013, or possession of a Venipuncture Permit with 10 venipunctures after January 1, 2013 and venipunctures completed within 1 month of hire.
• AHA or equivalent BLS Certification required.
• Two or more years of experience in general radiology.
• At least 5 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Some clerical and computer experience.

Pay

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role.

Schedule

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs. Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
