About the role
CT Technologist II responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging care in a team-oriented environment. This PRN position involves performing CT scans, administering contrast, and assisting with invasive procedures under CT guidance.
Responsibilities
- Execute clinical competencies across all patient populations, adhering to radiation safety principles and selecting appropriate technical factors.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, training, and workflow optimization to enhance patient care, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment, prepare patient rooms, and manage supplies and inventory.
- Transport patients, verify orders, explain procedures, and ensure proper preparation for scans.
- Operate and maintain equipment, perform quality control, and report issues promptly.
- Provide patient education, address needs, and support comfort during procedures.
- Document care activities, process images, and communicate effectively with care teams and patients.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements, demonstrating professionalism and respect.
Requirements
- Associate degree or accredited radiologic technology certificate.
- Less than 1 year to 6 months CT experience required; cross-training or certification preferred.
- ARRT(R) in Radiography and CT or NMTCB(CT) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care techniques.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills preferred.
