CT Technologist II

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical CT procedures across patient populations, selecting appropriate technical factors and adhering to radiation safety principles.
• Assists with invasive procedures under CT guidance, administers contrast, and maintains aseptic techniques.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives, training, and workflow optimization to enhance patient experience and safety.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment, prepares equipment, and verifies patient information and orders.
• Communicates effectively with patients, providing education and support, ensuring understanding and cooperation.
• Documents activities accurately and ensures timely image processing for interpretation.
• Maintains equipment quality and adheres to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent, with an accredited radiologic technology certificate.
• ARRT(R) and CT certifications, or NMTCB(CT), with required licensure.
• Less than 1 year to 6 months of CT experience; cross-training or certification preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care techniques.
