Responsibilities
- Performs clinical CT procedures across patient populations, selecting appropriate technical factors and adhering to radiation safety principles.
- Assists with invasive procedures under CT guidance, administers contrast, and maintains aseptic techniques.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives, training, and workflow optimization to enhance patient experience and safety.
- Maintains a clean, safe environment, prepares equipment, and verifies patient information and orders.
- Communicates effectively with patients, providing education and support, ensuring understanding and cooperation.
- Documents activities accurately and ensures timely image processing for interpretation.
- Maintains equipment quality and adheres to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent, with an accredited radiologic technology certificate.
- ARRT(R) and CT certifications, or NMTCB(CT), with required licensure.
- Less than 1 year to 6 months of CT experience; cross-training or certification preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care techniques.
