Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiologic CT exams on incoming patients.
- Monitor patients' well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
- Administer contrast as needed in a safe and effective manner.
- Guide patients through the exam process by explaining steps and addressing questions or concerns.
- Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
- Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
- Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Respect company property, including cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
- Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
- Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
- Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Requirements
- Genuinely passionate about patient care and able to exercise sound judgment while remaining professional in all situations.
- Effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills, and respect for patients, guests, and colleagues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work with a structured approach, and solve complex problems.
- State licensure, ARRT (R), and/or ARRT (CT) certifications as required by state regulations.
- BLS certification, depending on state regulations.
- At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.
