Responsibilities
- Perform quality CT scans and, as needed, radiography under the supervision of the Radiologist and Director of Radiology.
- Apply radiation and physical safety measures.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in contrast administration, positioning, and exposure technique.
- Remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of patients through good communication, patient assessment, monitoring, and care skills.
- Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.
Requirements
- Certification and current registration as a Registered Technologist (R.T.) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Graduation from or current enrollment in an accredited CT training certificate program or school.
- Must hold or obtain current licensure as RT(R)(CT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of hire.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
