About the role

As a CT Technologist, you will produce cross-sectional images of internal organs and tissues to diagnose various medical issues. You will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate equipment, and position patients to capture appropriate images. This role involves diagnostic imaging for patients in both the Emergency Room and inpatient settings, playing a critical part in their overall treatment.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology, including routine, emergent, invasive, and special procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain A.L.A.R.A. (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation standards.
• Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking, and informatics.
• Document in patient charts and ensure all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and provide copies of imaging studies as needed.
• Abide by all state and national regulatory standards.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the work area to perform daily tasks.
• Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing.
• Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire.
• Current state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting.

Physical Requirements

• Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple assignments, respond to numerous requests, and collaborate with other healthcare team members. Requires problem-solving, decision-making, and the ability to exercise self-control under stress.
• Special Demands: Minimal sustained direction required; self-starting and self-motivating. Working hours may exceed eight (8) hours per day based on workload demands.
• Physical Demands: Requires sitting at a workstation or desk and standing for extended periods. May include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Schedule

This role works nights from 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM.
