CT TECHNOLOGIST
About the role
Provide diagnostic x-rays for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while maintaining infection control procedures and diagnostic/safety protocols for all age groups. Prepare and administer contrast media, operate pre- and post-examination equipment, and handle scheduling responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Produce diagnostic examinations according to protocols for all age groups
- Prepare and administer contrast media for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Operate pre- and post-examination equipment
- Perform routine and special exams across all patient categories (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric)
- Handle scheduling responsibilities
- Maintain current hospital and department policies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school
- Meets requirements for registry by the ARRT; must be registered or pass registry if a recent graduate
- Six months of experience in CT/Radiology preferred
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
