Responsibilities

• Operate the CT scanner safely and proficiently.
• Obtain a high standard of imaging and positioning.
• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions.
• Start an IV line to administer contrast fluids.
• Transport patients to and from the department.
• Handle telephone scheduling procedures.
• Operate the PACS computer system.

Requirements

• Technical or Associate’s radiography degree.
• Registered or registry eligible with the ARRT; must maintain registry while employed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
