CSTO Staffing Coordinator
About the Role
PeaceHealth is seeking a CSTO Staffing Coordinator for a Part Time, 0.875 FTE, Variable position. This is a REMOTE position. If selected, candidates must live within a 30-minute commute from Southwest Medical Center or St. John Medical Center (in case of internet or hospital down-time).
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $24.90 – $37.34. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
Responsibilities
- Partners with managers to ensure consistent and balance staffing on a 24-hour basis.
- Maintains staffing and scheduling records with My Time, ensuring all changes are accurately documented.
- Uses PeaceHealth communication tools to locate, find and contact caregivers who can cover sick calls or other open, same day shifts.
- Interprets and accurately applies and follows all hospital scheduling and staffing policies.
- Effectively communicates staffing assignments and updates with caregivers and managers.
- May prepare, input and maintain monthly schedules for assigned units.
- May approve time off/education requests when doing scheduling.
- Provide reports as requested.
- May function as a resource to nursing managers for efficient use of scheduling system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service (Required).
- Scheduling and staffing experience (Preferred).
- Experience working in Healthcare (Preferred).
Skills
- Skills in problem solving and organizing and disseminating information (Required).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (Required).
- Proficient computer/keyboarding skills including MS Office applications (Required).
- Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with multiple interruptions and successful follow through (Required).
Working Conditions
Lifting: Consistently operates computer and other office equipment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work.
Environmental Conditions: Predominantly operates in an office environment.
Mental/Visual: Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
