About the role
A Staffing Coordinator at Your Experience Matters Woodland Springs supports nursing administration by performing various duties including reviewing staffing needs, supervising Patient Sitters, coordinating staffing assignments, providing training, and maintaining records.
Responsibilities
- Reviews staffing needs daily, calculating requirements based on patient acuity and flexible staffing patterns.
- Maintains records of reports and supervises Patient Sitters.
- Resolves staffing shortages using flexible staffing plans and informs relevant Directors of anticipated and occurring issues.
- Determines and coordinates staffing assignments for Patient Sitters.
- Recruits, directs, trains, coaches, and mentors Patient Sitters.
- Assesses and ensures the quality of services provided and facilitates staff development programs.
- Maintains compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Composes, types, and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, and other written communications.
- Screens and routes visitors and telephone calls, responds to inquiries and escalates issues as necessary.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, and appointments.
- Maintains assigned calendars and orders and stocks supplies.
- Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a stressful environment. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred. CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) required within 30 days of employment prior to any patient contact.
Qualifications
Must have a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and proficiency in computer systems.
