CST - Remote Collections Representative

About the role

This is a remote/work-from-home position. Candidates hired for work-from-home positions will receive company-issued equipment. Additional details regarding equipment policies and procedures will be provided during the interview and onboarding process.

Compensation: $15/hour with potential to earn commission.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and process payments under established department guidelines on the collection of past due accounts and delinquent balances through direct contact with customers via the telephone.
• Accurately assess the consumer’s financial condition by conducting thorough inquiries.
• Determine the reason for delinquency and find creative solutions to resolve the situation.
• Track and maintain all customer accounts throughout the collection process ensuring prompt payment recovery for all outstanding balances.
• Perform customer account maintenance activities to include account reviews, reconciling aging levels, verifying account balances, applying payments, monitoring collection activities, and updating accounts in compliance with established corporate policies and procedures.
• Adhere to State and Federal regulations pertaining to collection activities.
• Meet corporate standards for call quality assurance and structure.

Requirements

• Outgoing, assertive, competitive, and persuasive personality.
• Enjoys dealing with the public.
• Possesses or is capable of acquiring superb negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to accurately document information in our computer system while communicating with the consumer on the telephone.
• Able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends.
• High school diploma required; some college preferred.

For remote positions, the minimum internet speed requirements are:

• Broadband internet connection (no DSL or dial-up).
• Hard-wired connection required (no Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi hotspots).
• Speed test results: 25 Mbps download, 20 Mbps upload.
