CSD / IDG Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Functional test CSD (Constant Speed Drive) and IDG (Integrated Drive Generator) per Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).
• Familiarize with test stands and other test equipment related to CSD/IDG.
• Perform routine, non-routine, and preventative maintenance on all test equipment in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Silver Wings Aerospace standards.
• Perform work assignments as determined by shop management, ensuring compliance with approved technical data, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Use appropriate testing techniques and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being tested.
• Record information and complete work assignments in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development for repairs.
• Maintain open two-way communication with management and team members, sharing both positive and negative updates.
• Deliver units in a timely manner to meet company On-Time Delivery (OTD) deadlines.
• Maintain personal and shop-calibrated tools in satisfactory operational condition.
• Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Maintain test stand logs and perform maintenance on the stands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM), and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
• Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
• Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, and repair/overhaul of aircraft components.
• Familiarity with aircraft specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections.
• Ability to use standard tools, including but not limited to: screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi-meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement tools, and safety wire pliers.
• Must be capable of providing your own tools.
• Ability to work overtime as required by production demands.
