About the Role
This is a supervisory-level position in security. The selected candidate may have responsibility for oversight of one or more security officers and must have complete knowledge of the assigned property, including facilities, post orders, emergency contact lists, emergency procedures, special instructions, and all post duties.
Responsibilities
- Assure proper use and maintenance of all equipment used at the site by assigned officers (keys/key cards, cell phones, radios, wands, etc.).
- Assist with staffing all posts to ensure complete coverage.
- Responsible for scheduling officers and filling vacant posts.
- Conduct inspections of officers, including appearances, licenses, and uniforms.
- Review written reports and sign-in sheets to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
- Ensure officers make timely and thorough daily report entries; audit all entries for completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
- Review post orders and make recommendations for changes to senior management.
- Report any major disciplinary problems or complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, or unfair labor practices to the Senior Supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have scheduling flexibility, as the position may be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Have attended or be able to attend and successfully pass Admiral/ADM Leadership training.
- Internal candidates must have an exemplary performance and attendance record with no disciplines within a year of applying for this position.
- Possess exceptional customer service skills.
- Be able to multitask.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office products and able to operate and maintain site-specific security programs.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of security supervisor experience or experience in a related field.
- A college degree may account for half of the experience qualification.
- Military management background will also be considered equivalent experience.
