CRUISE COORDINATOR – $19.50 PER HOUR

Job Summary

Mission: The Riverboats at the Gateway Arch are seeking individuals for a career on the water. As the Cruise Coordinator, you will oversee the welfare and comfort of guests on the Becky Thatcher and Tom Sawyer riverboats.

• Supervise a team of servers, bartenders, and/or cashiers on private charters, dinner cruises and other events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for passengers.
• Work closely with guests (private charters) to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring all details are executed accurately.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of cruises, ensuring all areas are prepared according to specifications made by management or guests (private charters).
• Cook with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
• Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during cruises with professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide training and support to staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines including complying with health and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of pricing, menu items, and general cruise information.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Monitor and work to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals at all Points of Sale.
• Engage incoming and departing guests in a warm, genuine and friendly manner, answer guest inquiry line, provide directions, and help maintain cleanliness and organization of dock when working as a greeter.
• Absorb and stock supplies as necessary in the gift shop, dry storage, coolers, etc.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass alcohol and drug screening (to include THC).
• Must pass background check.
• Must pass math proficiency questionnaire (located in employee application).
• Must have some supervisory experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Willing to work on a moving vessel in water and outdoors (hot and cold environments).

• Able to carry/lift up to 50lbs.
• Able to work in a standing position for 3 hours continuously and up to 9 hours per day.
• Able to continuously carry trays/plates up and down stairs.
• Able to bend and stoop.
