Who We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a passionate and dependable leader who excels in technical production, team development, and behind-the-scenes execution. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who thrives in high-pressure environments, solves problems quickly, and brings calm, confidence, and clarity to fast-paced situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sunday Service Tech Oversight
- Lead and support teams in executing audio, visual, lighting, livestream, and on-stage technical needs.
- Operate production systems as needed (ProPresenter, audio consoles, video switchers, microphones, cameras, etc.).
- Lead pre-service setup and sound checks.
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and calmly under time pressure.
- Ensure all tech systems are safely powered, set up correctly, and functioning properly.
- Volunteer Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and schedule the volunteer tech team.
- Empower volunteers with hands-on coaching and clear documentation.
- Build a strong, encouraging team culture.
- Provide consistent feedback, gratitude, and appreciation.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & Logistics
- Work with the Creative Director to plan services and events.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to meet AV/tech needs.
- Manage team schedules, setup plans, and logistics.
- Anticipate needs and proactively communicate with key leaders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Experience: 2+ years of experience in church production, live event tech, or equivalent (required); experience leading volunteers in a ministry or nonprofit setting (preferred); familiarity with portable church logistics or non-permanent venues (a plus).
- Technical certifications or training in audio/video production (preferred, not required).
- Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of AVL systems: audio, video, lighting, livestreaming, networking, Dante, etc.; proven ability to mix a modern worship band for both in-room and livestream; calm, quick problem-solver and critical thinker under pressure; clear communicator with strong organizational and time management skills; confident in leading volunteers with humility, clarity, and encouragement.
Nice to Have Skills
- Video editing experience (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
- Basic to intermediate graphic design skills.
- Experience supporting creative teams with visual or media assets.
