About the Role
Assist students safely through intersections and monitor vehicle traffic.
Schedule
- 180 total work days (July 15, 2026 – May 20, 2027)
- 6 paid holidays (186 total paid days)
Pay
- Entry salary: $16.53/hour
- Performance pay available annually for eligible positions (prorated based on FTE and employment start date)
- New hire experience credit: 1% for two or more years of full-time like experience, plus an additional 1% per year (not to exceed 5% maximum hiring range)
- New hire education credit: 1% of hourly rate for a college degree in a similar field (combined with work experience credit not to exceed 5% maximum hiring range)

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- First aid training desired
- Ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, staff, and the general public
- Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules
- Adequate vision and hearing to exercise job responsibilities safely
Responsibilities
- Place traffic signs where required
- Utilize proper procedure to walk students through the crosswalk
- Ensure students' safety by keeping them within crosswalk lines
- Report violators of the 15 MPH zone (both pedestrians and vehicles)
- Perform related duties as requested
- Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed
- Perform other assigned duties that support the overall objective of the position

Physical Requirements
- Frequent physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, and sitting
