Employment Type: Part-time – 45 minute shift in the morning, 45 minute shift in the afternoon

Pay

Entry salary: $16.53/hour. Performance pay available annually for eligible positions, prorated based on FTE and employment start date.

• New Hire Experience: 1% for two or more years of full-time like experience, plus an additional 1% per year, not to exceed the maximum hiring range of 5%.
• New Hire Education: 1% of hourly rate for a college degree in a similar field, combined with work experience credit, not to exceed the maximum hiring range of 5%.

Schedule

180 total work days (July 15, 2026 – May 20, 2027), 6 paid holidays, 186 total paid days. Position can be combined with additional part-time opportunities not to exceed 8.0 hours/day.

Responsibilities

• Assist students safely through intersections and monitor vehicle traffic.
• Place traffic signs where required.
• Utilize proper procedure, walking students through the crosswalk.
• Ensure students' safety by ensuring students walk within the crosswalk lines.
• Report violators of the 15 MPH zone, both pedestrians and vehicles.
• Perform related duties as requested.
• Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed.
• Perform other duties assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• First aid training desired.
• Ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, staff, and the general public.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules.
• Vision and hearing adequate to exercise job responsibilities in a safe manner.
