Cross Trainer - Male

About the Role

Male Cross-Trainers assist in cleaning up dishes following meals, keep the dish room clean, and learn and participate in all aspects of camp. They also train in grounds maintenance, cabin devotion, camp activities, and cabin life.

Orientation: June 5–June 7
Session 1: June 14–July 11
Session 2: July 11–August 15

Responsibilities

• Run a dish machine
• Participate in dish cleanup and dining facility sanitation
• Take out trash each meal
• Fill and replace water coolers twice per day
• Participate in cabin devotions, activities, and cabin life

Qualifications

• Professing Christian that commits to follow the mission and vision of Camp Lurecrest Ministries
• Displays leadership skills, maturity, and safety consciousness
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
• Able to complete job tasks while being attentive to camper experience and overall safety
• Respond with grace in high-stress situations
• Willing to perform hands-on tasks as well as teach and invest in campers in a support staff role

Requirements

• Must have completed 10th grade
• Able to work on your feet, be outside all day, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk up to 5 miles in a day
• Signed agreement of CLM Summer Staff Handbook
• Successful completion of CLM Orientation Training Program

Staff will operate under camp guidelines for safety. By living, eating, and serving on-site, staff will model the values of CLM, as outlined in the Summer Staff Handbook and contract both on and off the job.
