About the role
Cross-Trainers assist in managing the dining hall and train in all aspects of camp, including cabin devotions and cabin activities. Staff live, eat, and serve on-site, modeling the values of Camp Lurecrest Ministries as outlined in the Summer Staff Handbook and contract both on and off the job.
Schedule
Seasonal position with the following key dates:
- Orientation: June 5–June 7
- Session 1: June 14–July 11
- Session 2: July 11–August 15
Responsibilities
- Serve three meals a day
- Keep dining hall clean and up to code
- Clean and set up juice, cereal, salad bar, and coffee stations
- Ensure a positive, safe dining experience for campers
- Participate in cabin devotions, camp activities, and cabin life
- Perform hands-on tasks while teaching and investing in campers in a support staff role
Requirements
- Must have completed 10th grade
- Able to work on your feet, be outside all day, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk up to 5 miles in a day
- Signed agreement of CLM Summer Staff Handbook
- Successful completion of CLM Orientation Training Program
Qualifications
- Professing Christian committed to following the mission and vision of Camp Lurecrest Ministries
- Displays leadership skills, maturity, and safety consciousness
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
- Able to complete job tasks while being attentive to camper experience and overall safety
- Responds with grace in high-stress situations
