CRNA - Certified Nurse Anesthetist - Per Diem

About the role

The position at Pen Bay Medical Center is for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) who will work in various surgical and non-surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• No evening, weekend, call or holiday requirements.
• Collaborate with a team of CRNAs and Anesthesiologists.
• Work with supportive perioperative staff and surgeons.
• Support a range of service lines including General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN (C-Sections only, no epidural placements), Endoscopy, healthy Pediatric ENT, Podiatry, Ophthalmology and Urology.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of CRNA experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year school or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduate of a program of nurse anesthesia education accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
• Demonstrates current competency in clinical responsibilities.
• Current State of Maine Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.
• Current PALS, BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
• Membership in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists is recommended.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year school or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduate of a program of nurse anesthesia education accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
• Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities for which the candidate applies.
