Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - CRNA BWH Per Diem
About the role
Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic and collegial team players to join our growing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) practice. We are a group of 20 CRNAs (full time, part time, and per-diem) that work in the Anesthesia Care Team model in a wide variety of locations/specialties in our 47 ORs, as well as many out-of-OR locations, OB, (no pediatrics), and our surgi-center in Foxborough.
Responsibilities
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Requesting laboratory/diagnostic studies
- Pre-anesthetic medication
- General anesthesia and adjuvant drugs
- Regional anesthesia placement and monitoring
- Sedation techniques
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation management
- Invasive and noninvasive placement and monitoring
- Airway management techniques
- Mechanical ventilation/oxygen therapy
- Fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base management
- Peripheral intravenous/arterial catheter placement
- Central venous catheter placement
- Pulmonary artery catheter placement
- Acute and chronic pain therapy
- Post-anesthesia care/discharge
- Seeks physician direction based on patient condition
Requirements
- Diploma Nursing required and Master's Degree Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner required
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist [CRNA (NBCRNA)] - National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

Skills
Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management. Must have physical abilities and manual dexterity to function as an anesthesia care provider and have the ability to administer all types of anesthetics, using a variety of techniques.

Pay
Per Diem Rate: $116.32/hr minimum; higher rates offered based on experience. Base pay information offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications; however, it does not encompass all elements contributing to your total compensation package.
