About the role
VIGILINT seeks a CRNA to support Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team activities. The role involves providing anesthesia support in austere and limited resource environments, managing complex patient airways, and performing critical air transport missions.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum anesthesia support for acute care surgery
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia plans
- Initiate and manage various anesthesia techniques including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and sedation
- Manage pain and airway management, assisting in post-operative patient holding duties
- Select and administer anesthetic agents, medications, and fluids, including blood products
- Order, initiate, or modify pain relief therapy using intravenous analgesia and regional anesthetic techniques
- Plan and conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients
- Assist the Emergency Physician with routine (Sick Call) medicine
Requirements
- Active SECRET or higher security clearance
- Advanced Practice Registered Nursing license in the United States or U.S. Territory
- Current Board Certification through National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
- Current/active civilian practice to maintain clinical currency during non-deployed periods
- United States citizen
- Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Valid United States Passport that will not expire within 1 year of employment
- Strongly Desired Qualifications: An anesthesiologist can be substituted for a CRNA; previous forward resuscitation surgical team/forward surgical team (FRST/FST) or SOF experience is desired
- Minimum five (5) years' experience as a CRNA
- Minimum of five (5) years IC or U.S. Military experience
- Previous deployment within the last 3 years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions
- Ability to lift 150 pounds with assistance; carry 80 pounds a distance of 30 feet and push/pull over 200 pounds, meets the anthropometric standards of assigned platform
Qualifications
- Legal resident of one of the 50 U.S. states
