Responsibilities
- Works as a team member in an Operations & Maintenance organization providing a variety of O&M services within a 24/7/365 environment.
- Carries out maintenance and operations by performing tasks personally or as a team member in a Data Center Operations & Maintenance environment.
- Coordinates with contractors and vendors for the effective and safe accomplishment of maintenance and project work.
- Responds to building system alarms, stabilizing system operations while specialized OEM technicians are called to the site.
- Performs equipment and system operational modifications, ensuring high standards of workmanship are met.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years working in Tier 2, Tier 3 or Tier 4 Data Center(s) or equivalent experience in operations & maintenance and/or building engineering roles.
- Entry-level skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R disciplines.
- Knowledge of writing and operating MOPs (Method of Procedures).
- Demonstrated personal motivation and enthusiasm.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience with subcontractor and vendor contract management.
- Experience with managing key performance indicators as provided by Assistant or Chief Engineer.
- Experience with capacity planning and reporting.
- Experience using hand tools, test equipment, and understanding maintenance shop practices.
- Knowledge of reflectance, length, and decibel loss within test equipment.
- Knowledge of Visio, AutoCad.
- Experience with ITIL framework and service level standards.
- Able to adjust hours as required by the business to include being onsite for extended hours during emergency situations such as hurricanes.

Pay

Schedule
- 12 hour shifts.
- 6am - 6pm (front half of week) with on-call responsibilities for emergencies and critical issues.
- Shifts vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage.
